2020 Beach Season Suspended

-- 2020 Season Start, Returning Staff, New Hires, Volunteers, New Director, COVID-19, Truck, Beach Shifts Canceled...There is so much going on lately, so we wanted to blog about it! --

Our beach program had a quiet start at the end of February.  -- Returning staff effortlessly jumped back into action, but with some unexpected personal events it became necessary for us to get some help!  -- We've had 7 new community volunteers sign up to help with HRAP. -- Wonderful new interpreters joined our team, right before our new Program Director reported for duty.  -- The new director has taken the helm like a pro, but at the beginning of her tenure COVID-19 began to rapidly unfold.  -- The City has taken the appropriate precautions, and suspended our beach program for the foreseeable future.  -- We know closing the beach isn't an option, but we are asking tidepoolers to please give the animals a break & we'd be happy to have you come back another time. --  Just not right now. -- Take care of yourselves and each other & we hope to get out to the beach as soon as possible ✌💙-- P.S. -- Did you hear we got a new truck?! 💟
